Alpina Valjoux 13 "Black Forest" s/n 1392
This is the story of the only glossy black dial Alpina Valjoux 13 known.
Cased in a 33mm cushion case with some serious height and prominent crown, it’s not a small watch. But the absolute show stealer is the dial. A super high gloss deep black dial with enameled white hands.
A special early Alpina Valjoux 13 “Leftie” s/n 1355
A rare chronograph by Alpina with a Valjoux 13 movement and the crown on the left side. This model was known with it’s case and dial design in two other instances but never seen with a crown on the left handed side of the case.
Early waterproof design: Alpina with the CH 207378 watch case
The watch featured is an Alpina with Cal. 490 in a rectangular steel watch case. This is the Taubert Patent (Brevet) CH 207378 that made an attempt to waterproof a rectangular wrist watch.
Also seen on Mido, Matthew Tissot and Patek Philippe wristwatches.
Alpina-Gruen Tecno “Doctors watch”
Alpina-Gruen Tecno “Doctors watch” 1935 with crown-guard case.
